At Bike & Grow, we want your child to have the perfect ride. Because we operate a unique hybrid model (offering both Direct Sales and Lease-to-Own subscriptions), our return policies differ based on how you acquired the bike.
Please read the section below that applies to your order type.
We distinguish between our Standard Fleet (Woom, Strider, Commencal Ramones) and Special Order performance bikes.
A. Standard Fleet Returns (Woom, Strider, Ramones 12-16″)
30-Day Return Window: You may return the bike within 30 days of delivery.
Condition: The bike must be in new, resellable condition (clean, no scratches, tires not worn from pavement use). We understand a test ride in the driveway is necessary, but bikes ridden on trails or mud cannot be returned as new.
Refund: You will receive a refund of the bike price. Note: Original delivery fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.
B. Special Order Returns (Commencal Meta, Clash, Woom OFF)
Because these are high-performance machines ordered specifically for you, they carry stricter return conditions to cover freight and logistics.
14-Day Return Window: Returns must be initiated within 14 days.
Restocking Fee: All Special Order returns are subject to a 15% Restocking Fee deducted from the refund amount.
Condition: Strict “Showroom Condition” applies. If the bike shows signs of trail riding, crashes, or damage, it is not eligible for return.
Subscription orders are governed by the Bike Lease Agreement signed after checkout via DocuSign.
General Rules for All Subscriptions:
Initiation Fees: The one-time “Club Initiation Fee” (Setup Fee) is non-refundable. This covers the labor of assembly, safety checks, and delivery logistics.
Equity: If you cancel your subscription, any accrued “Bike Equity” credits are forfeited upon return of the bike.
A. Monthly “Flex” Plans
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. To avoid being charged for the next month, cancellation must be requested via email or your account portal at least 1 day before your renewal date.
Return Deadline: Once cancelled, the bike must be returned/picked up within 7 days of the lease end date.
B. Annual “Saver” Plans
Commitment: Annual plans are a 12-month commitment in exchange for discounted pricing and waived fees.
No Early Refunds: We do not offer prorated refunds if you choose to return the bike before the 12 months are up. You may return the bike early, but the remaining balance of the year is not refundable. You may however trade up for another bike anytime during the 12 month period.
30-Day Return Window: Unused accessories (Helmets, Locks, Bells) in original packaging may be returned within 30 days.
Safety Items: For safety reasons, helmets that have been worn, scratched, or used cannot be returned.
For Subscribers: If your child outgrows their bike, you may swap it for the next size up at any time! We will arrange a swap during our standard delivery routes (Tuesday/Saturday).
For Buyers: We offer a Trade-In Program. If you bought a bike from us, you can trade it in for store credit towards the next size up. The trade-in value is determined by the condition of the bike upon inspection.
How to get the bike back to us:
Concierge Pickup: We can come to your home to pick up the return. A $35 Pickup Fee may apply (deducted from your refund) to cover driver time and fuel.
Exception: Size Swaps for active subscribers are free.
Customer Drop-Off: You may drop off the bike at our storage location by appointment for free.
Return Authorization Requirement:
Please do not simply show up. All returns must be initiated via email at returns@bikeandgrow.com. We will issue a Return ID and schedule your pickup or drop-off slot.
Shipping Damage: Please inspect your bike immediately upon delivery. If you notice damage (scratches, bent parts) at the time of delivery, please notify the driver or email us within 24 hours.
Manufacturer Defects: As an authorized partner, we facilitate warranty claims for Strider, Commencal, and Woom. If a part fails due to a defect, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you under the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
User Damage: Damage caused by crashes, abuse, or transport is not covered by warranty. Subscribers with the Supplemental Protection Plan may have coverage for accidental damage (see protection plan terms).
